Chivalry vs. Sexism
It can often be confusing when you are a femanine femanist (you want woman's rights and to be treated like equals, but still love being girly) whether chivalry is something that is sexist or not. There is a difference though, you just have to determine what your guy uses, chivalry or sexism.
Chivalry
Chivalry, by definition is courtious behavior from a man towards a woman. Simple enough, it's pulling out a chair for you, holding the door, or carrying your bags. These are all nice gestures, and NOT always sexist. If these gestures are done to be nice or polite then they are fine and you have yourself a gentleman.
Sexism
Sexism is when these gestures are done because you cannot pull out the chair yourself or are no where near strong enough to carry all these bags, you are just a weak woman. If this is the vibe you are getting from your boyfriend dump the sexist douche, you don't even need to follow the break up ettiquette.
And a word of advice, sexism is still very present in today's world so help your gender out to get equality. Do a project on a feminist, learn about the status of our gender. The least you can do is instead of uncomfortably laughing at sexist jokes like most people, give the comedian a good glare.
